The coach of the Argentina U23’s, Fernando ‘Bocha’ Batista has confirmed that Ajax are showing interest in  Fausto Vera.

In conversation with the Argentine radio station Late 93.1, Batista confirmed that Ajax were watching the youngster.

He said, “There are many players abroad. Ajax is looking at Fausto Vera today (last Wednesday).”

The 20-year-old currently plays with Argentinos Juniors, making 26 appearances. He has eight caps for the Argentina U23 squad.
