sanogoAccording to Voetbal International, the 22-year-old arrived in Amsterdam on Sunday for a tour of the Amsterdam Arena and discussions with director Marc Overmars and coach Frank de Boer. Ajax are hoping for a decision from the striker on Monday, but they face competition from Sanogo’s home country with Lille also hoping to take him on loan.

Sanogo joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2013, but has only scored once in 20 appearances for the Gunners, and was loaned to Crystal Palace for six months last season. At Palace he only managed one goal in eleven appearances.

Ajax are looking for a new striker after letting Kolbeinn Sigthorsson leave, and loaning Richairo Zivkovic to Willem II.
