According to Algemeen Dagblad, Ajax has no plans to sack Alfred Schreuder.

The Ajax fans have shown their displeasure with Schreuder in the last week after a defeat at home to PSV Eindhoven was followed by a draw against Vitesse Arnhem.

Only four of the last 12 games have ended in victory, but the Ajax board plan to stay behind Schreuder with AD reporting that the head coach will be given more time.

The Ajax board reportedly believes that Schreuder has not been supported correctly in terms of transfers. In the summer, he lost Antony and Lisandro Martinez, but the board did not sanction deals for Hakim Ziyech and a new goalkeeper, which Schreuder wanted.

Ajax will also be looking to appoint a technical director during the winter break in order to assist Schreuder.
