According to De Telegraaf, Ajax have rejected a €50 million bid from AS Monaco for striker Kasper Dolberg.

The Ligue 1 champions are expecting Kylian Mbappé to leave the club in the next week, with PSG the likely destination for the super-talent.

In search of a replacement, Monaco have set their sights on Kasper Dolberg, but have had an offer of €50 million rejected by Ajax, who are determined to keep hold of the Dane. It remains to be seen whether Monaco will return with a higher bid for the 19-year-old, who has a contract until 2021 in Amsterdam.

Dolberg netted 23 times last season, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting forwards in Europe. He has so far failed to find the net in five games this season, but Marcel Keizer insists he is still Ajax’s first choice, despite the return of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
