Ajax have completed the signing of Austrian centre-back Maximilian Wöber from Rapid Vienna.

Ajax have been tracking the 19-year-old all summer and with Davinson Sanchez leaving for Tottenham, the club accelerated their interest and have now confirmed the signing of Wöber on a four-year deal.
According to reports in Austria, Ajax have paid Rapid Vienna around €7.5 million. This would make the youngster the most expensive signing from the Austrian Bundesliga ever.
Wöber only made his debut for Rapid Vienna in November last season and leaves the club after 24 first team appearances.
