Ajax have been tracking the 19-year-old for a while and even made an attempt to sign him in January. However, Sao Paulo wanted to keep hold of their talent until the summer.
Ajax have now agreed a fee of €20 million with an extra €5 million in bonuses for the attacker. They will also pay an extra €5 million for the transfer rights of David Neres, which were still owned by the Brazilian club.
Antony will become the most expensive Ajax purchase of all time when he arrives, possibly as a replacement for the departing Hakim Ziyech.
The winger has made 33 appearances for Sao Paulo, scoring three goals and giving four assists.
