Tottenham Hotspur will be Ajax’s opponents in the Champions League semi-finals after they knocked out Manchester City on Wednesday.

Ajax booked their place in the last four with an excellent 2-1 win over Juventus on Tuesday and they awaited the result of Wednesday’s clash in Manchester.

Tottenham went into the second leg with a 1-0 lead and although they lost an entertaining clash against Manchester City 4-3, they progress on away goals.

That means ex-Ajax players Christian Eriksen, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweield and Jan Vertonghen will all be returning to Amsterdam.

The first leg takes place in London on the 30th of April with the return in Amsterdam on the 7th of May.
