According to RTV Oost, Ajax defender Kik Pierie is set to join FC Twente on loan.

The 19-year-old centre-back made a €5 million move from Heerenveen to Ajax last summer.
However, Pierie did not make a single appearance in Erik ten Hag’s side and spent the season with Jong Ajax in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
Pierie is now set to head to Enschede and will spend the season on loan with FC Twente, who loaned Noa Lang from Ajax last season.
Pierie bolsters Twente’s defensive options with Julio Pleguezuelo and Xandro Schenk currently the only centre-backs at the club.
