Ajax bought Antony from Sao Paulo for around €15.75 million, with the winger the intended replacement for Hakim Ziyech.
Speaking to Yahoo Sports, Antony’s agent Junior Pedroso revealed that he spoke with 12 clubs for his client, “Borussia Dortmund was close by and even sent someone to Brazil. There was also interest from two major clubs from England, including Chelsea. We spoke to a total of twelve clubs.”
Pedroso also revealed the bonuses in Antony’s contract, “The agreements are similar to those of David Neres. There is a bonus if he plays a hundred games, becomes the top scorer of the Eredivisie and if Ajax wins the Champions League or Europa League.”
Antony will be presented on in July, “We are waiting for the green light, but we plan to travel to the Netherlands on 5 July. The presentation is two days later.”
