Ajax’s young midfielder Donny van de Beek has compared himself to first team regular Davy Klaassen.

This is what the 17 year old, who has been impressing for the Ajax U19’s in the UEFA Youth League this season, had to say,
“He plays the same position as me and is the one I most look to, he is 21 years old and a very good player. He is faster than me and can receive the ball with more depth. I am someone who likes to have the ball at my feet. ”
Van de Beek has been training with the first team in Qatar and the youngster has responded positively by saying,
“It’s a nice reward for a good first half of the season. I’m very happy with it. I try to make my debut for the first team as soon as possible.”
