Chelsea have extended the contract of young Dutchman Nathan Ake, who will play for the remainder of the season on loan with fellow Premier League club Watford.

The 20-year-old defender signed his new deal with Chelsea on Friday, which keeps him tied to the club until 2020, but he will gain vital experience of the Premier League on loan with Watford.
Ake has made 12 appearances for the Chelsea first team, with five of those coming in the Premier League. The former Feyenoord youth star spent time on loan with Championship side Reading last season, but only made five appearances.
