The Dutchman returns to Newcastle this summer after a difficult six-month loan spell with AZ Alkmaar, and isn’t expected to be part of Rafa Benitez’s plans for next season.

According to The Daily Mirror, Belgian champions Anderlecht are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper and have targeted Krul. It is unsure on whether the Brussel’s based side want the 29-year-old on a permanent or loan deal.

Krul has one year left on his contract with Newcastle United, who have been heavily linked with Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
