According to Voetbal International, Anderlecht are hoping to sign Wesley Hoedt on loan from Southampton.

Hoedt made a good impression in the Belgian league last season on loan with Royal Antwerp, and now he could be heading back with Anderlecht.

The club managed by Vincent Kompany has contacted Southampton in order to sign the defender on a season-long loan deal. They are currently negotiating the size of the loan fee.

The 26-year-old former AZ Alkmaar and Lazio defender has been with Southampton since 2017 but cannot count on playing time with the Premier League side.
