Anderlecht are on the lookout for a new midfielder after Dennis Praet left the club to sign for Italian side Sampdoria, and De Telegraaf is reporting that Henriksen is their first choice.
A scout from the Belgian side was at AZ’s 2-1 win over Utrecht on Sunday and have made their interest known to the club through an intermediary. Anderlecht are now lining up a €5 million bid.
Henriksen is open to leaving AZ this summer, but the Norwegian only wants to join a club where he can develop his game further, stating earlier this month that he would prefer to join a club from England, Germany, Spain or Italy.
