The 24-year-old reportedly reached an agreement with Anderlecht on Thursday evening, and the final points on the transfer have been sorted in the early hours of Friday.
Wellenreuther joined Willem II from Schalke back in 2017, and has since made 77 appearances for the club.
The 24-year-old German was set to be a free agent this summer, but his agent failed to terminate his expiring contract, meaning Willem II will be due a fee from Anderlecht.
The Belgian side are needing a new goalkeeper with Hendrik Van Crombrugge being linked with several top clubs including Ajax and PSV Eindhoven.
