Looking back at his early days with Ajax, Zivkovic said, “I’ve made mistakes, so I could not live up to the high expectations at the beginning.

“But the coaching at Ajax also left much to be desired. For a seventeen-year-old player who comes from the province of Groningen to the city of Amsterdam, it is so important to be well taken care of. Especially the pre-promised specialists training, but unfortunately nothing came up. I was often left alone. So much so that the joy of playing football was also less.”

Zivkovic returned to pre-season training this summer determined to prove himself to new coach Peter Bosz, and the early signs were good. “I had almost no holidays and trained hard . I knew I had to go for gold and wanted that too. I now know what is expected of a professional footballer. ”

“The opening week at Ajax in the Netherlands went great and I was happy that coach Peter Bosz me picked in the squad for the training camp in Austria, because I had trained so well, according to him.”

However, although Zivkovic started the tie with FC Liefering, he was not included in the 22-man squad for the tie with AFC earlier this week. This has proved to be the final straw for Zivkovic, “I feel that I am used like a yo-yo, that games are played. ”

Utrecht are ready to offer Zivkovic a way out of Amsterdam, and he wants to take it, “I’d like to go. It is now the best that I leave. I hope that Ajax agrees and does not ask a big fee for a loan or sale. So I can give a good boost to my career. ”
