Versatile Dutchman Vurnon Anita is set to leave Newcastle United this summer on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old’s contract with the newly promoted Premier League side expires this summer and according to the Evening Chronicle it will now be renewed. Anita has reportedly told his teammates that he will be leaving the club.
Anita left Ajax for Newcastle United in 2012 and he has played over 150 official matches for the English giant since then, but will now be searching for a new club.
The future’s of Newcastle’s other two Dutchmen, Tim Krul and Siem de Jong, are also unclear. Krul and De Jong both had disappointing loan spells in the Eredivisie last season and both will soon find out whether they are part of Rafa Benitez’s plans for the new season.

Siem De Jong’s season wasn’t dissappointing
Pretty bad, only made 19 appearances started less than half of those, otherwise he was sent on for the final 10min. Scored 5 goals against weak opposition 1 against ajax. Can’t see him returning to his best.
