AZ Alkmaar and Willem II are still searching for their first wins of the season after a 0-0 draw at the AFAS Stadion on Sunday.

The first half begin with Willem II nearly scoring through Erik Falkenburg, but AZ then took control with Thom Haye coming close with a shot from range, while Dabneey dos Santos failed to beat Kostas Lamprou when one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Lesley de Sa came the closest to scoring in the first half, but his shot deflected off AZ defender Jeffrey Gouweleeuw before striking the bar with Sergio Rochet beaten.
After the break AZ continued to look for the winning goal, but Lamprou proved unbeatable, keeping out efforts from Haye and Jop van der Linden as the game ended goalless.
Both sides now sit on two points for the season after three games.
