AZ Alkmaar made it four wins in a row as they saw off Go Ahead Eagles 2-0 at the AFAS Stadion.

johanazjdbjIt was Go Ahead Eagles who had the best chance to break the deadlock early on when a mishap between Ridgeciano Haps and Wesley Hoedt left Jules Reimerink through on goal, but the midfielder shot wide.

On 25 minutes the home side opened the scoring as Aron Johannsson reacted quickly to prod Dabney dos Santos cross past Micky van der Hart at the near post.

Early in the second half Go Ahead Eagles struck the bar through Reimerink, while Marnix Kolder and Lesley De Sa were causing the home side problems. However AZ sealed the win on 70 minutes when Dos Santos netted his first ever Eredivisie goal with a lovely first time finish from the edge of the box.

The win lifts AZ temporarily 4th in the league while Go Ahead sit 13th.
