Heracles, who will play in the Europa League for the first time, will face Arouca, who finished fifth in the Portuguese league last season. The tie will begin in Almelo on the 28th of July and the return in Portugal takes place a week later.
AZ Alkmaar, who were knocked out in the group stages of the competition last season, have been drawn against either Greek side Giannina or Norwegians Odd. The two teams played the first leg of their second qualifying round tie on Thursday with Giannina triumphing 3-0 and they will look to book the meeting with AZ next week.
