The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan in the Eredivisie with Heerenveen and RKC Waalwijk.
AZ Alkmaar were impressed by the Danes performances last season and have paid Sassuolo €4 million to sign the striker, who has signed a five-year deal.
Odgaard to the club’s website, “My first impression is very good. Especially in this beautiful stadium and with the top facilities at the training complex. You won’t find that better any time soon. AZ is a big club in the Netherlands and therefore also for me. This is a big step for me and one in the right direction. I can’t wait to start the Eredivisie and the European matches.”
Odgaard is the third signing of the summer after Mees de Wit (PEC Zwolle) and Mayckel Lahdo (Hammarby).
