AZ Alkmaar has completed the signing of versatile midfielder Riechedly Bazoer on a free transfer.

The midfielder was available on a free after departing Vitesse Arnhem at the end of last season and he had been linked with a move to Olympique Marseille.
However, Bazoer will remain in the Eredivisie with AZ Alkmaar and he will replace the outgoing Fredrik Midtsjo, who is joining Galatasaray. The 25-year-old has signed a three-year deal at the AFAS Stadion.
Bazoer began his career with Ajax but then had disappointing spells abroad with Wolfsburg and Porto before returning to the Netherlands with Utrecht. He then joined Vitesse in 2019 and made 104 appearances for the club.
Bazoer is the fifth summer signing for AZ Alkmaar after Mees de Wit, Mayckel Lahdo, Jens Odgaard and Zinho Vanheusden.
