AZ Alkmaar director Max Huiberts has denied claims that Barcelona are interested in signing Calvin Stengs.

Earlier this week, Sky Sports reported that Ronald Koeman wants to make the 21-year-old his first signing since becoming the new head coach of Barcelona.

Asked by Fox Sports if the rumours were true, Huiberts replied, “I can disprove that.

“They are all rumours. I will not go into all rumors. If something is really clear, we will report it ourselves.”

Huiberts added that clubs ask for information about their players but there is nothing concrete at the moment.
