A report in AD this week stated that Tottenham were finally ready to meet AZ’s asking price of €20 million for Janssen, but that has been denied by Huiberts who has told Noordhollands Dagblad that they have not heard from the Premier League side since rejecting their first offer weeks ago.
Huiberts said, “There is a lot of speculation and I read a lot of nonsense stories.
“We received one bid from Tottenham Hotspur that we have not accepted. That’s not so strange to me. It is not often that a club agrees immediately with a first offer. Then we heard nothing more.”
Huiberts was then asked if AZ would make contact with Tottenham themselves, he responded, “No, that’s not us. If you want to buy something, you have to go to the store. The store does not belong to you.”
If Levy is going to sign this guy I wish for gods sake he would just pull the trigger and sign him, stop messing around or you’ll lose another target, or is that what you want to happen?
It is only the gutter media that has been linking Tottenham with this player, I read a few days ago that Tottenham had made 4 offers, apparently they only made one.
