AZ Alkmaar have confirmed the signing of Ajax midfielder Dani De Wit on a five-year-deal.

AZ had been looking for a successor to Guus Til, who departed the club for Spartak Moscow earlier this month.
Dani de Wit fit the profile of a box-to-box midfielder that the club were looking for and they have brought the 21-year-old in from Ajax on a deal until 2024.
De Wit told the AZ website, “This feels great and I am looking forward to it. AZ is a very large club, you want to sign for that. We want to end this season as high as possible in the Eredivisie and get as far as possible in Europe.”
De Wit has only managed to make 12 first-team appearances for Ajax, but was a regular for Jong Ajax in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. In 56 appearances, he netted 19 goals and gave 13 assists.
