On the stroke of half-time, it was 2-0 with Markus Henriksen threading Fred Friday through on goal and the striker finished calmly for his first goal for the club.

Vojvodina failed to react in the second half and in the 80th minute AZ wrapped up the victory with Wuytens finding the net with a wonderful free-kick.

AZ now host the second leg next week knowing only a huge defeat can prevent them from reaching the group stage of the Europa League for the third straight year.
