PSV are hoping to extend his deal, which ends in 2015, but according to VI the player rejected their offer of an improved one year contract, and will hold out until his eighteenth birthday.

The winger turns 18 on the 26th of January, and will then discuss a new professional contract with the club, which will see the player earn a massive pay rise.

Despite interest from the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Juventus, Bakkali is said to want to stay with the Eredivisie club for a number of years.

Bakkali made his debut against Zulte Waregem in the Champions League earlier this season, and has went on to make a further five appearances for the club, whilst scoring a hat-trick against NEC Nijmegen.
