The 18-year-old Belgian has no chance of playing time at PSV after the club were angered by the wingers refusal to sign a new deal in Eindhoven, with his current contract up in the summer.
Atletico Madrid tried to purchase Bakkali in the summer, but he refused the deal as he wanted to explore his options with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all linked.
However according to Belgian newspaper RTBF, who claim to have close ties to the family, Bakkali has now agreed to join Atletico Madrid in January, but will then be immediately loaned to French side Lille.
Atletico Madrid are rumoured to be paying around €3 million for the youngster.
Such a shame ! He was developing really well at the club last two years. That was a d*ck move to refuse the contract and ask for a better salary when really you didn’t show anything that was worthy of an augmentation !
Still hope he’ll get a good future somewhere else because he remains an extremely skillfull player. But that cockiness won’t get you anywhere Zak’ just know it 😉
