The Ajax captain has been constantly linked with a move to Barcelona this summer with the Catalan giants hoping to partner him with his teammate Frenkie de Jong.
Barcelona seemed to have beaten off competition from the likes of Juventus and PSG, but it appears Bayern Munich haven’t given up.
According to Sport, the Bavarian giants are looking to overhaul their squad this summer and see De Ligt as the perfect recruit for their defence.
Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to offer Ajax €60 million for the Netherlands international. Barcelona can’t match that offer but remain confident of wrapping up a deal because De Ligt prefers the Nou Camp.
