The 19-year-old winger impressed for Barcelona’s first team early in the season, making 10 La Liga appearances and three more in the Champions league, but after the winter El Haddadi fell out of favour with boss Luis Enrique and mainly represented the B team.
With Barcelona B El Haddadi scored five in 17 appearances, but couldn’t prevent his side from being relegated from the Segunda Division. With Barcelona not keen on the Spanish U21 international playing 3rd tier football next season and with Pedro in his way to the first team, a loan deal is likely, and according to Elf Voetbal a deal with Ajax is close.
Ajax have signed Bojan and Isaac Cuenca from Barcelona on loan in recent seasons, and it seems El Haddadi will be the next Catalan youngster sent to the Amsterdam Arena.
