Bayer Leverkusen has confirmed the signing of Celtic’s Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong.

The Bundesliga club has reportedly paid €11 million for the 20-year-old, who has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Frimpong was born in Amsterdam but moved to England at the age of seven to join Manchester City. He left for Celtic in 2019 and made 51 appearances for the Scottish side.

Frimpong will be coached by Peter Bosz and join fellow Dutchmen Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Daley Sinkgraven on the pitch.
