Dick Advocaat decided to start with Bryan Linssen through the middle in the absence of the injured Nicolai Jorgensen. Uros Spajic also made his debut at the back.
After 13 minutes, Willem II had the lead when Vangelis Pavlidis latched onto Samuel Holmén’s header to finish past Justin Bijlow.
The lead lasted less than ten minutes before Ridgeciano Haps equalised for Feyenoord after good work from João Teixeira. Three minutes into the second half, Linssen made it 2-1 with a volley.
Steven Berghuis then made it 3-1 with a fine finish past Robbin Ruiter, before the Feyenoord captain added the fourth with a chip over the Willem II goalkeeper who had come racing out of his goal.
The win takes Feyenoord top of the table on goal difference, while Willem II are 11th.
