Despite only signing a permanent deal with the club last week, Peniel Mlapa could be leaving VVV Venlo for Besiktas.

The 28-year-old striker was loaned to VVV Venlo last season from Dynamo Dresden. After he scored 15 goals in the Eredivisie, VVV used an option in the contract to make the deal permanent last week.
According to De Limburger, VVV could now be looking to sell Mlapa for a profit. Clubs from China, Turkey, Japan and the UAE are interested in the forward.
Besiktas are among those clubs and have already made contact with the club. VVV have confirmed the contact to De Limburger and state they would only consider selling should they receive an offer above €2.5 million.
