Birmingham City are set to say goodbye to Pep Clotet at the end of the season and are now considering candidates to take over.
According to Voetbal International and the Daily Mail, Groningen boss Danny Buijs is a surprise candidate for the English Championship side.
The 38-year-old has done a great job with Groningen in the past two seasons, taking them from bottom to eighth in his first year, while the club were sitting ninth before the season ended. This has not gone unnoticed in England.
However, Buijs is not the only candidate with Lee Bowyer, Nigel Clough and Chris Hughton also in the running.
