The 27-year-old is almost certain to leave Rotterdam this month after falling behind Ridgeciano Haps and Tyrell Malacia in the pecking order.

According to AD, Spanish side Deportivo Alaves are seriously interested in signing Nelom, but according to the Daily Mail, Birmingham City are also in the running.

Birmingham City currently sit second-bottom in the Championship and are hoping to strengthen their defence in order to stave off relegation.

Nelom isn’t the only Feyenoord player heading for the exit with Bilal Basacikoglu and Kenneth Vermeer also linked with moves away from De Kuip.
