Ajax defender Daley Blind, who only re-joined his boyhood club last summer from Manchester United, has thrown doubt on his long-term future at the club in an interview with Voetball International.

Speaking to the football outlet, Blind said that: “With 28 years of age, I feel in the peak of my career, and if I can hold on to this level, at Ajax and at the Dutch squad, there will be something else on my path next summer”.

He continued, “who knows whether I’ll stay here until the end of my career, but certainly with how we are playing now, how we profile ourselves, in the Champions League and with Oranje, it is not a foregone conclusion…I think I’m still on the radar at many foreign clubs”.

Though potentially concerning to the Ajax hierarchy, the 16 million euro signing went on to suggest that he wouldn’t just consider any interest and that playing a certain style of football, week in week out is still a priority.
