The 19-year-old had an excellent season for AZ, scoring 20 goals and adding 13 assists in 39 games. This has seen the Netherlands international linked with several top clubs including AC Milan and Barcelona.
However, Boadu expects to stay in the Netherlands because of the transfer market being affected by the coronavirus crisis.
Boadu told de Volkskrant, “It is certainly very quiet around me, I do not know about the boys. Look: we have a very nice group. If people are added, it can be a very nice season.
“The chance that I will stay has increased because of the crisis. I always said I wanted to win a prize at AZ and that has not happened yet because of circumstances. I think it is really possible here. Then we have to stay together. If a few go away, the momentum may be gone. “
Boadu is still disappointed that the season was ended early and AZ weren’t awarded the title, “I also think that we deserved that title the most on the basis of the matches. They will say that they (Ajax) have scored more goals and I understand that. That is their right”
