AZ Alkmaar striker Myron Boadu is frustrated by his lack of goals this season.

In 21 games this season across all competitions, Boadu has only scored four goals. He missed two big chances in the win over ADO Den Haag on Saturday and appeared frustrated after the game.

Speaking to ESPN, Boadu said, ‘That’s not good, is it? No, that’s not good.

“I also expect more from myself, I think everyone expects a little more from me. But I just keep faith, no matter how difficult that is sometimes. You can’t do more. You just have to hope that the tide will turn.”

Luck is also not on Boadu’s side, “That ball that just hit the post, those are chances that normally go in. I think I’m doing everything right: you can also see my reaction after this moment. How can it not go in? But I know what I can do and I always have faith in myself. I know it will come again by itself. But when you get so many opportunities, at a certain point it becomes annoying that you don’t score.”
