AZ Alkmaar defender Sam Beukema could become the latest Dutchman to sign for Bologna.

Bologna already have Joshua Zirkzee, Jerdy Schouten and Denso Kasius, while Sydney van Hooijdonk is on loan with Heerenveen and Jafar Bynoe is part of their U19 squad.
The Serie A side have set their sights on the Netherlands again with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that Bologna is hoping to sign Sam Beukema this month. The defender’s agent is reportedly in Italy and will be at Bologna’s clash with Atalanta on Monday.
Beukema has a contract with AZ until 2026 and the deal may be scuppered by the Eredivisie side’s asking price. The 24-year-old joined AZ from Go Ahead Eagles in 2021 and has made 64 appearances for the club.
