The Dutch international swapped AZ Alkmaar for London last summer in a £20 million move but failed to impress in the Premier League and for most of the campaign was third choice behind Harry Kane and Heung Min Son.
PSV Eindhoven have been linked with a loan move for Janssen should Luuk de Jong leave, but according to the Mirror, the Bundesliga could also be an option. Borussia Monchengladbach are looking for a new forward and have enquired about his availability.
Tottenham are unlikely to let the 22-year-old leave on the cheap, though, and will want to recoup most of the money they paid AZ Alkmaar 12 months ago.
