Bosz said, ”Eventually at Ajax we managed to mould a team that would achieve something special in reaching the Europa League final 2016. Unfortunately we did not win it.
”I told Erwin van der Sar about wanting to leave Ajax in the current climate back in January 2017. I also repeated that at the end of the season after the Europa League final just before Borussia Dortmund showed an initial interest. Even without the Dortmund offer I would have still left Ajax last summer.
”People suggested that I was persuaded by Borussia Dortmund being an interesting project with lots of money involved but the people who said those things do not know me well. That is not what I am about at all.
”I believe my year at Ajax was difficult. But I admit it was tough but also instructive.”
