Sven Botman was solid at the back as Lille defeated Stade de Reims 1-0 to record their first league win of the season.

Last week the former Ajax centre-back made his debut for Lille in their 1-1 draw with Stade Rennes.

The 20-year-old once again started as Lille went in search of their first win of the campaign against Stade de Reims, who had Kaj Sierhuis on the bench.

Jonathan Bamba scored the only goal of the game as Lille held on to a 1-0 victory, with Botman playing a key role at the back. His performance drew praise from fans and his new club, who called him a wall on their Twitter account.
