Centre-back Eric Botteghin has admitted he is open to leaving Feyenoord for a move abroad.

The 31-year-old has spent his whole career in the Netherlands, starting with FC Zwolle before spells with NAC Breda, Groningen and now Feyenoord.

Speaking to Hand in Hand Magazine, Botteghin admitted he is open to a move abroad, “You never know in the football world, that is not only a cliché but also really true. I would like to make a move to a foreign club.

“But I’m also having a great time at Feyenoord. As a player, you usually start to look at it more in the middle of your last contract year. I’m not really doing it yet.”

Botteghin has a contract with Feyenoord until 2020.
