The 30-year-old only had six months left on his deal with PEC Zwolle and Utrecht have swooped to sign him as a replacement for the injured Rico Strieder.
Brama started his career with FC Twente, making over 230 league appearances for the club before leaving for PEC Zwolle in 2014. Under Ron Jans, the three times Dutch international played 59 times in the Eredivisie, scoring twice.
Brama will officially join up with his new teammates on the 1st of January.
