Rumours of Everton’s interest in Brands has been circling for months and according to reports in England, a deal taking the Technical director to England is close to being announced.
Sky Sports are reporting that Brands will announce his decision to leave PSV as soon as the Eredivisie title is confirmed. They currently sit seven points clear with five games left.
PSV already have a replacement lined up and will discuss his departure at a board meeting on Wednesday. The 55-year-old has been with PSV since 2010, before that he spend five years with AZ Alkmaar. Everton are hoping that Brands will revamp the club’s squad in the summer and help them challenge for European places next season.
Update: Voetbal International reporter Marco Timmer has stated that as of yet no contact has been made by Everton for Marcel Brands. De Telegraaf’s Erik van Haren also states that no meeting is planned at PSV on Wednesday to discuss his departure.

Zoals eerder gemeld is Marcel Brands in de race voor een baan als 'director of football' bij Everton. Engelse club heeft zich officieel nog niet gemeld bij #PSV. Is vandaag ook geen vergadering over ingepland.
