Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of NAC Breda centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke. He will be loaned straight to Heerenveen.

The 20-year-old was always certain to leave NAC Breda this summer, with AS Monaco linked earlier in the summer before that move fell through.
Brighton has now confirmed Van Hecke’s signing on a contract until 2023. However, he will spend his first season on loan with Heerenveen.
NAC Breda will earn around €2 million for the talented defender, who made 16 appearances for their first-team.
