Jeremie Frimpong scored as Bayer Leverkusen defeated RB Leipzig 3-1 in a game to forget for Brian Brobbey.

For the second game in a row, Brobbey was chosen to start by RB Leipzig head coach Jesse Marsch, but after only 43 minutes, the striker was substituted.

By that point, Bayer Leverkusen, who had Jeremie Frimpong in their starting eleven, were 2-0 up thanks to goals from Moussa Diaby and Florian Wirtz.

Andre Silva pulled one back for Leipzig early in the second half, before Frimpong settled the victory for Leverkusen by making it 3-1.

Young Dutch defender Solomon Bonnah came on for Leipzig in the last five minutes but by that point, the game was settled with Brobbey’s replacement Dominik Szoboszlai missing a late penalty. Daley Sinkgraven remained on the bench for the visitors.
