Brian Brobbey has pledged his future to Ajax despite rumours that contract negotiations between the club and Mino Raiola are not progressing as planned.

Brobbey made his Ajax debut and scored in the 5-2 victory over Fortuna Sittard at the weekend. It was a reward for the development of the 18-year-old this season.

However, Brobbey’s contract is up at the end of the season and no agreement has been reached between the club and his agent Mino Raiola.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Brobbey is sure that he will remain in Amsterdam, “The contract extension will be fine. My agent Mino Raiola is in talks with Marc Overmars. I will be 100% sure to sign up.”

Looking back on his debut, the striker said, “This is just the beginning. By working very hard, I want to become a permanent fixture.”
