Dynamo Moscow have paid €5.5 million (which could raise to €7.5) to take the 25-year-old Dutchman to Russia, with Buttner signing a three year deal with the club that finished 4th in the Russian league last season.

Buttner said on the move, “I want to play in the Champions League and win trophies. Dynamo are building a very strong team,”

“I am sure that we will be good enough to try to win the league title this season.”

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has already signed a replacement for Buttner with Luke Shaw completing his move from Southampton on Friday.
