Oussama Tannane netted four goals in the first half as Heracles Almelo hammered Cambuur 6-1 in Leeuwarden on Saturday evening.

tannane herThe Moroccan attacker scored an excellent free kick in the 3-0 win over NEC last week, and Tannane’s confidence was clear to see as he opened the scoring after only six minutes with a low strike into the bottom corner.

On twenty minutes Tannane was brought down in the box, before adding his second from the penalty spot, and he completed his hat-trick with a fine strike into the top corner ten minutes later, after some shocking defending from Cambuur. Five minutes before the break Tannane became the first Heracles player to ever score four goals in one Eredivisie game as he powered a shot into the top corner from just outside the box.

The Cambuur defence didn’t improve after the break, and on 56 minutes Wout Weghorst raced through on goal, and although Leonard Nienhuis saved the striker’s first effort, he netted on the rebound.

Bartholomew Ogbeche pulled one back for the home side, but Thomas Bruns completed the humiliation with Heracles sixth goal on 82 minutes.

The win puts Heracles temporarily in third, while Cambuur slip to 17th on goal difference.
